AAPAW is a coalition of rescues and shelters and can provide the community with resources to assist in finding homes for strays or unwanted pets. Please be aware that because of the high pet over-population problems caused by the sheer number of un-neutered and un-spayed cats and dogs in our community that continue to breed twice a year, all member rescues and shelters are at or beyond capacity and are unable to take in more pets unless they find homes for the ones in their care first.

The inability to find pet friendly housing is one of the leading causes of cat & dog abandonment. Below are some resources to finding affordable and pet-friendly accommodations. Check out MyApartmentMap for the largest list of currently available pet-friendly housing. DogFriendly.com has a helpful catalog of resources for renters. ApartmentList.com can also help you find pet friendly housing. Simply modify your search on their website by checking the "Pet Policy" option from the "Advanced" tab at the top of the page.
